NATURAL THERAPIST and IT fan

Hi, I've recently moved from the Murwillumbah area where I enjoyed studying IT stuff at the local TAFE college and met the teachers and students on this Bling site. Thanks Tony for settling it up and Fiona for inviting me on board.

I've been playing about designing websites for friends and it's loads of fun given what you can do with the cheap templates availbale on Yahoo, Google, Homestead etc... My Dreamweaver skills get rustier by the day, but I continue to weave dreams of other kinds. Check my website at http://pattibarton.homestead.com if you'd like to read about the half stir-crazy life I've led and some of those dreams I mentioned.

Here's one of my recent poems:

THE HUMAN RACE
I took my place
in the human race
as it ran to the very brink
If God made life
and God said Go!
Whatever must God now think?
Have we stuffed it up?
Will he snuff us out?
Have we gone down the cosmic sink?
According to some
the run’s for fun
and God said Go! with a wink.
With this in mind
I’ll lag behind
and leave out the final sprint.

Hi Melanie, many thanks for reading my poem. It's funny, but I mentioned that piece to a friend today whom I was taking to the airport for her trip to India for four weeks at Sai Baba's ashram. I don't think this poem scans very well, for most of ...

Thanx Y, for your comment. I took lots of interesting shots that evening. Some had no orbs others were full of them. I must take my camera down to the beach at dusk on a calm day and take some photos when no one is around. to see what happens.

The image Kid Energy is my favourite - you have captured a very unique setting there!! As I rode past this area last friday - I noticed lots of people with their camers out - taking snapshots - you may have been one of them?

Orbs at Currumbin Beach

The local curumbin kids took a few risks on the evening of May 22nd riding the foaming surf waves after the recent storm surges. The energy was high and this brought out the ORBS. Orbs are not common in my digital photography but they've been increasing in recent months.

Google 'orbs' for lots of discussions about this phenomenon that's grown in tandem with the advent of mass ownership of small digital cameras since the mid-'90s. Of course, the non-esoteric ones among us need to dismiss the orb… Continue

Using your IPod

My son's website, white label space, has this groovy YouTube link about using your Ipod to control your motor car. Pretty soon we'll be able to run our entire households this way.
