ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Megan. It's my first semester at TAFE, currently doing the Cert. 4 IT (Web Design) and am enjoying the practical nature of the coursework so far. I come from an art-ish background, have a BA (Visual Comm.) with double major in graphic design/visual arts, and am doing this course so I'll be able to do the tech aspects of websites and not just the pretty pictures that don't work! ;)

I think paying the wp upgrade fee only lets you edit the CSS styles. Javascript and plugins seem to be off limits on wp.com for the reason you stated, it would be a nightmare for admin. Oh well, the GA script seems to be working on my north coast...

the issue is that if you can play with the GA code, you could also play with any other code and that would be a nightmare for the wp administrators

it only works on hosted, I assume that unless you have paid a fee to wordpress dot com to allow you to edit code, then you would be able to fiddle with scripts

Aha! I'll do that. Thanks Fiona. It's a shame wordpress(.com) won't come to the party. Would be perfect if GA worked on the free wordpress. :)

Hi Megan - to my knowledge GA can only be set up on a self-hosted blog not a wordpress.com blog. do you have another website you can link it to? (this is as far as I know - but Tony would be the best person to ask!)
